The fig tree

Through an open window I hear a cacophony of bird chatter, so I quickly step outside to object. Suddenly it is so hushed that I could hear a leaf fall. Not fooled, I clap my hands loudly. A guilty flock of starlings flit out of the fig tree, where they have been gorging on ripe figs. But, they do not go far.

  1. I love birds ( a Robin has a reddish chest) and yet would wish they leave the figs for me. Lively and detailed photo of the fig tree..in Spanish, “higuera” means fig tree. How do you say this in French? Smiles, Robin
