Elderly Wisteria

The elderly Wisteria
stands at the corner of the market place,
watching the years go by,
market day bustles,
children skipping,
soldier boys leaving,
jazz bands playing on National day,
neighbours chatting,
and tourists passing
who each look up in wonder,
at the faded beauty,
of the elderly Wisteria.
