Fate

I was looking for a change in life, an adventure in the form of travel. Something I had wanted for a long time. Then the opportunity came in the form of an invitation to visit Southern Ireland. So, I spent three months preparing.

One evening during this time, a man was on his journey. He travelled from Haute Savoie, crossed the Channel, drove through England, then South Wales on the M4, passing a stones throw from my home, on his way to Skibbereen, West Cork, Ireland.

There, I was destined to meet him, another evening, three months later.

Fateful journeys
connecting through life
our hearts desire.

For dVerse Monday Haibun.
