Honey bees

Swarm bees make a chain to help each other descend into a new hive.
Swarm bees make a body chain to help each other descend into a new hive.

Honey bees : a force of nature.

Honey bees evolved 150 to 180 million years ago,
There are 5,000 to 100,000 bees in one hive,
The queen lays 2,000 eggs per day,
One bee travels up to 2 and 1/2 miles away from the hive,
Covers a distance of 15 miles each hour,
Visits 600 flowers before returning to the hive,
Makes 10 trips a day,
Pollinates 18,000 flowers each day,
And in her lifetime makes 1/12 teaspoon of honey.
