About

Looking at life,
do you see what I see?

Hi, I’m Veronica, was born in Hereford, England, but lived most of my life in Wales. I raised two daughters, and am now a grandmother of eleven grandchildren (three adopted). I met my husband in the very south of Ireland, where I lived, and worked for four years. We married two weeks before we moved to France, his native country, in 2003. We live in an old stone house amongst vineyards, farmland and forest. It is beautiful here, and the people are content and kind. It seems a perfect muse for my blog.

CLOSEUP PORTRAIT

I am vegetarian. I practise a little yoga, like walking, am a lazy gardener and simple cook. I like to sign lots of petitions for humanitarian, ecological, and animal welfare organisations. I try to nurture my spiritual self in nature, reading, contemplation, simplicity and kindness. When I was young I loved reading, and I imagined that one day I would write a book. This has not happened yet, so instead I blog short poems, stories, and  photographs.

  1. Hi Veronica. I have just included you in a list of favourite/recommended blogs. It’s a Liebster award! Hope you enjoy being on the list and if you wish, you can pass the torch to 11 more bloggers–but please don’t feel obligated. I wouldn’t enjoy doing this if I thought my award nominees felt obliged to follow up with their own award post. 🙂
