do you see what I see?

Hi, I’m Veronica. I was born in Hereford, England, but lived most of my life in Wales. I raised two daughters, and am now a grandmother of eleven grandchildren. I met my husband (now passed away) in the very south of Ireland, where I lived and worked for four years. We married two weeks before we moved to France, his native country, in 2003. We  lived together happily in an old stone house amongst vineyards, farmland and forest. It was a beautiful homeland, and the people were content and kind. It was a perfect muse for my blog.

In 2018 I returned to Wales to be near my family. I found a sweet little terraced house in a former mining town of South Wales. I now live in the land of song and poetry, and so I return to my blog with new inspiration.

I am vegetarian, practise a little yoga, enjoy walking, am a lazy gardener and simple cook. I try to nurture my spiritual self in nature, reading, contemplation, simplicity and kindness. When I was young I loved reading, and I imagined that one day I would write a book. This has not happened yet, so instead I blog short poems, stories, and  photographs.
